PINE FOREST students have been learning coding basics during their library time with Mrs. Reaves. After reading the book "How to Code a Sandcastle" by Josh Funk, classes discussed what coding is, how we use it daily, and then coded their own robot mouse. #pcssdproud #serveall





CRYSTAL HILL students put their thinking caps on for "AVID Day on the Hill" which just so happened to fall on National Puzzle Day. Students participated in a variety of puzzles, critical thinking games, and even a digital escape room! #pcssdproud #serveall

Pulaski County Sheriff Department has cleared Landmark Elementary from its lockdown. There was nothing found in the area and PCSO officials believe the school is in safe condition to continue to the school day.
Landmark Elementary is currently on lockdown due to gunshots heard in the area. Students and staff are safe inside the building. PCSO offifcials are en route to the school. Please do not come up to the school at this time. We will keep you updated on the situation.
Ms. Combs' 6th grade art students at ROBINSON MIDDLE drew a portrait of a shelter pet from the Humane Society of Pulaski County. Those portraits will now go home with the respective pet when adopted. What a heartwarming project for the students and pets! #pcssdproud #serveall








First graders at CHENAL and CATO ELEMENTARY learned all about pulleys. While learning all about these mechanisms, students also built their own pulley and tested them out. They finished their lesson by writing about their experience. #psccdproud #serveall








We're recognizing our school board members this month with a throwback to their high school days. Next up, Stephen Delany board member for zone 1. Delaney attended the Scholars/TAG program starting at College Station and then Fuller Jr High before graduating from Mills in 1999. Delany was a member of the 98' state champion quiz bowl team, the speech and debate team, and served on the TAG program advisory council. #pcssdproud #serveall

The lockdown has been lifted at Harris Elementary. Pulaski County Sheriff Department canvassed the area but did not find anything of concern. They gave the all clear and lifted the lockdown at approximately 12:30. Students and staff are safe and continuing the school day.
