October is Computer Learning Month. This month, we encourage members of the PCSSD community who are not familiar with computers to learn something new. Many local libraries provide resources to teach everything from the basics to more advanced skills.


October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence affects both women & men, of every race, religion, culture & status. If you are a victim of domestic violence and need assistance, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE(7233).


October is National Bullying Prevention Month. There are five types of bullying: verbal, emotional, physical, sexual, and cyber. If you are being bullied, document the events in writing and tell a trusted adult who can help you navigate through.

Today is Child Health Day. It is important for children to create healthy routines to grow and thrive. This includes brushing teeth,washing hands, eating well, and exercising. This is especially important as we all do our part to stay safe and healthy from COVID-19.
