SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE students played a "keyboarding superbowl" game during KeyCode and Keyboarding class. Students had to work together to put the keyboard together from memory, then work together as a team to stack cups without touching the cups with their hand.

Kindergarten students at BAKER ELEMENTARY got to meet a special pet as they studied the letter "S." Meet Craig, Ms. Thurman's class pet. Students got to touch and see the snake.They talked about different S words that go with snakes like smooth, slither and scales.
ELA classes at ROBINSON HIGH SCHOOL participate in escape room style info-text activities that involve ACT Aspire style questions in the LLC. These questions focus on word choice, supporting evidence, reading comprehension, and summarizing.

Yesterday was National Lego Day and to celebrate, students from COLLEGE STATION ELEMENTARY showcased their engineering skills this week by participating in a schoolwide LEGO Challenge. LEGOs help develop the cognitive STEM skills.

Eli Keller has two kids who both attend PCSSD schools. His fiancée, Mary, has 3 kids. When he's not chasing around the kids, Eli volunteers for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas.

Alicia Gillen, board secretary, has 3 children - Shayla Dixon 22, Nicole Gillen 13, Julia Gillen 12. She also has a dog named Maggie who is 15. In her spare time, she enjoys antiquing, traveling and cooking.

The Sylvan Hills High School North Quiz Bowl Team participated in the 6A Junior High Regionals Tournament. The top four teams qualified to go to the 6A State Tournament at Russellville that will take place on February 8th. The SHHS-North team received 3rd place!
Stephen Delaney is our newest board member. He attended Mills High School, Fuller Junior High, Jacksonville Elementary & College Station Elementary. In his spare time he volunteers with the Junior League and AR Kids Read.

Shelby Thoma and his wife, Leigh, have been married 25 years and 4 children: Simone-24, Nathan-23, Amelia- 20, and Novi-3. His favorite hobby is running and he also enjoys spending time with his youth group.
