The staff at PINE FOREST ELEMENTARY went on a "turkey hunt" last week. Admin hid 30 "turkeys" around the school and teachers had to find them all by the end of the day. As the turkeys were found and turned in, they got a fall-themed decor sign! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
November is Native American Heritage Month. Some well known inventions by Native Americans include anesthetics and topical pain relievers, corn, and kayaks. But some lesser known contributions include syringes, cable suspension bridges, hammocks, baby bottles, and mouthwash.
November is Child Safety Protection Month. There are some important steps to take to keep children safe outside like checking play areas to ensure lawn equipment, tools, or other yard items, like branches, are put away to prevent injury. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

BAKER ELEMENTARY ALPHA students were asked to make the tallest pumpkin tower with only 30 toothpicks and 30 pumpkins. Some quickly realized that building a sturdy base was key to success. The tallest tower was 10 inches tall. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
