It's week two of high school football playoffs and there's still one PCSSD team in the mix. Good luck to ROBINSON HIGH SCHOOL as they face Pocahontas High School tonight. Go Senators! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

At last week's football game between JOE T. ROBINSON HIGH and MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH, the two bands came together for a great halftime performance. Great work students! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Today is Substitute Educators Day and we want to remember long-time PCSSD substitute teacher Ron Kimbrew who passed away earlier this month. He recently served as a long-term substitute at Oakbrooke Elementary. Thank you, Mr. Kimbrew! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

November is National Diabetes Month. The CDC reports that more than one-third of U.S. adults have prediabetes which puts them on track to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is preventable through committing to a healthy lifestyle.

The CRYSTAL HILL ELEMENTARY archery team recently participated in their first tournament. The students did great - way to go Red Jackets! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

MILLS MIDDLE basketball coach Antonio Buchanan was selected to participate in Chris Paul’s “CP3 Elite Youth Camp” in Dallas this weekend. Coach Buchanan was selected as one of 35 (out of 250) coaches to attend this camp. Congrats, coach! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

10th grade AVID students from SYLVAN HILLS, MAUMELLE, ROBINSON and MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES high schools visited @HendersonStateU last week. They got a campus tour and lunch on campus. It was great college preview experience for these students. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Congratulations to the bowlers from MAUMELLE, MILLS, and ROBINSON who competed in a recent tournament at Professor Fowl in Little Rock. This was the first Life Skills Bowling event since COVID and the students were excited to participate! #pcssdproud #eqiutyandexcellence

SYLVAN HILLS HIGH swimmers had a great first meet and enjoyed having crowds back at the meet. The team is already hitting state times and breaking personal times! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Avery Caldwell from JOE T. ROBINSON HIGH, was chosen to represent Activity District 5 on the Arkansas Activities Association Big Red Student Advisory Council! Congratulations Avery!

Educators and coaches across PCSSD are dedicated to our students. MILLS Athletic Director, Raymond Cooper, says there are a number of life skills taught through athletics, and that is why athletics are important for students. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

OAKBROOKE ELEMENTARY library implemented a "Bobcat Book Leaders" mentorship program this year. Each morning, a 5th grader reads a book to a kindergartener. This is a great way to build leadership and ownership about learning among students! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Thank you to the Little Rock Zoo for hosting SYLVAN HILLS ELEMENTARY first graders! The students recently enjoyed a field trip to the Little Rock Zoo to learn about animals and their habitats. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Today is America Recycles Day and many of our schools have programs to promote recycling. PCSSD students are taught the importance of recycling by collecting recyclable items throughout the school. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

This is American Education Week! This week we celebrate our teachers and staff who work to provide a quality education to our students! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

PCSSD's Student Nutrition partner, Chartwells, has released some new, healthy recipes that could be great additions to the upcoming holiday meals.

Be the "I" in the KIND! Today is World Kindness Day and we love seeing this at schools around the District. Shout out to these custodial pros for posing with this sign at SYLVAN HILLS JUNIOR HIGH. We appreciate their hard work every day! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Unfortunately there is still an internet outage in the Robinson area that has a great impact on the daily operation of school (including landline phone access), we will not have on campus instruction Friday, Nov. 12. Robinson Elementary, Middle and High will each have an AMI day.

Round 1 of high school football playoffs begins tonight! Good luck to all of our schools playing! Tickets *must* be purchased online:
