SHERWOOD ELEMENTARY students participated in October's STEM is Lit Challenge. After reading "We´re Going To Find a Monster" they created paper monsters, and used energy and the laws of physics to make their monsters walk. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence





AVID Freshman scholars from MAUMELLE HIGH visited the 2 campuses of UA Pulaski Tech. They were able to tour both campuses and learn about their many certificate programs including cosmetology, culinary, automotive, and machinists. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Members of the Arkansas Symphony visited LAWSON ELEMENTARY 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders with the "Meet the Strings" program. Kegan Sandlin was chosen as our "guest conductor." Dominic Matlock was featured on the double bass. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence





PINE FOREST ELEMENTARY students are having fun in music class by putting a little Star Wars twist on the lesson. They used rhythm sticks as light sabers. Not sure who had more fun, the students or Ms. Westerman! #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence



3rd graders at OAKBROOKE ELEMENTARY celebrated the Day of the Dead by combining science and social studies lessons. They texted their engineered pinatas using force and compared and contrasted European and North American traditions and holidays. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence





SYLVAN HILLS ELEMENTARY 4th and 5th grade students took their first AVID trip to the University of Central Arkansas. Students had the opportunity to ask questions about college, tour campus, and experience some of campus life. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence
