The Naval Academy will host an admissions informational session on Sunday, December 1 for students in the central Arkansas area. The session will take place at Catholic High School (6300 Fr. Tribou St.) from 2 pm - 3:30 pm with check-in starting at 1:30 pm.
All high school students interested in attending a service academy are encouraged to attend with their family members. Educators are welcome to attend as well. At this event, there will be an overview of the Naval Academy, the admissions process, how to obtain a nomination, and a Q & A session.

The Arkansas Art Educators Fall Conference was last week, and our own Mrs. Neel held a workshop! She demonstrated how to bring printmaking into the classroom using sandpaper, crayons and an iron. This is a project her 9th graders do every year with amazing results!

🔬Identify a Problem – Define the issue, such as the need for a timed drug release.
📚 Research – Explore materials that could support delayed release.
📏 Design – Plan how to layer materials to control the release rate.
🔨 Build – Create tablets with layered coatings to test their designs.
🧪Test – Submerge tablets, and observe how coatings dissolved.
📊 Analyze – Finally, they evaluated the results, made improvements, and graphed data.
