🚀 Our incredible volunteers gave over 10,000 hours of their time to students last school year, and they’re ready to level up for 2025-2026!
📚 Today, ladies from the UAPB Alumni Association kicked off a monthly Book Club with our third graders at College Station and Harris Elementaries. Kids also had a friend scavenger hunt where they had to get signatures from the other school's scholars.
💖 Want in on the fun? Become a PCSSD volunteer and help spark young minds. Sign up here: https://securevolunteer.com/Pulaski-County-Special-School-District/home
🔒 Safety first: Anyone who wishes to volunteer at a PCSSD school must first complete a volunteer application. This includes a background check conducted online at no cost to the volunteer.

Dr. Franco, our fabulous Spanish teacher, is excited to share some photos from the past three weeks in her classroom! During this time, students have been forging strong bonds while introducing them to basic Spanish concepts. One of the highlights was watching the students jump rope while singing the alphabet, a fun and active way to reinforce learning!
Students also explored vocabulary related to school supplies, and Dr. Franco created short videos using WICOR strategies to make lessons interactive and engaging. Go Stingers!!!

Maumelle Middle School will begin Chromebook distribution on Monday, Aug. 18 through Social Studies classes. This is quite a process and everyone's patience is very much appreciated. All students will be resetting their password and we are providing assistance with that process, as well. Chromebooks will go home with students every day, they should be charged at home every night and then brought back to school the next day ready for instructional use. Students are responsible for the care of their Chromebook, bag and charger. It is highly recommended that chargers stay at home because they get lost so often at school. Replacement chargers are $20. Replacement bags are $20. Insurance is also highly recommended and it is $25 per student for the entire school year. The link for insurance information is
