cato food drive

Cato Elementary is hosting a Fall Food Drive!

The school is holding a competition between grade levels to bring the most canned goods or non-perishable items for the schoolwide food drive from November 6-10.

Items can be dropped off at the back counter by Mrs. Ross’ fifth grade class (look for the signs and a box for each grade level). Fifth grade students will help count and pack the items as their community outreach project for the fall semester.

Students will earn PBIS points for participation during the food drive. Each individual item is worth one point. The winner of the contest will be announced at the end of the day on November 10.

Recommended donation items include: cereal, oatmeal, rice, instant potatoes, granola bars, canned or packaged fruits/vegetables, ramen noodles, instant meals, and any other non-perishable food items. Items must be unopened and within the expiration date to qualify.
