The Pulaski County Special School District has announced a new motto.
District leaders attending the Vision 27 session on Thursday, July 23, selected the new motto. With Assistant Superintendent for Student Services Dr. Janice Warren leading the discussion, participants divided into three groups — elementary, middle, and high school — to discuss and narrow the list of suggested mottos before reconvening to make a final selection.
The new motto is: “Expect. Believe. Succeed.”
Superintendent Jeff Senn expressed the need to create a districtwide motto that embodies a shared vision for employees to rally around while also providing current students with a mantra that inspires future generations of alumni.
The motto has already been added to each school’s letterhead and the district website. Employees are being encouraged to begin using the motto immediately in communications with families and colleagues.
In coming weeks, the district will provide banners to hang at each school and the district office and will continue to develop other resources to incorporate the new motto into district operations.
