LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- A Chenal elementary teacher was one of 76 educators from 31 counties in Arkansas recognized by Arvest Bank for their annual We Heart Teachers campaign.
Mrs. Lisa Mitchell, a kindergarten teacher at Chenal, was selected to receive a $500 gift as symbol of respect and appreciation for the work teachers do.
“Teachers leave a lasting impact on their students. They educate, inspire, challenge and mentor them, as our children determine their future role in business and society,” said Scott Tennyson, market president of Arvest Bank in Harrison. “We are extremely grateful to all our educators in this area and we encourage nominations to help us support our teachers’ work in the classroom.”
Nominations were accepted through the Arvest Facebook page October 7 - 13. All prizes will go to teachers who work at state-funded schools. Thank you to Arvest Bank for recognizing Mrs. Mitchell's hard work and the hard work of all educators in Arkansas.
