UPDATE (9.18.23): PCSSD will hold a second meeting on Thursday, September 21, 2023. The meeting will be held from 9 am - 10 am at the PCSSD Special Education Department located at 3924 Neely Road in Little Rock.
PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- Pulaski County Special School District will host a consultation meeting for private school and homeschool parents regarding special education services on Thursday, September 14, 2023. The meeting will be held from 9 am - 10 am at the PCSSD Special Education Department located at 3924 Neely Road in Little Rock.
The meeting is extended to guardians of all K-12 PCSSD resident students registered as homeschool status with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and to private school representatives that are located within the PCSSD attendance boundaries. As part of PCSSD’s efforts to ensure ongoing consultations, we invite all private school representatives and any homeschool parents of children with disabilities who reside within the PCSSD district boundaries to participate in the discussion.
This meeting is specific to special education services and Child Find under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). PCSSD will attempt to secure an updated Private School Written Service Agreement annually in preparation for the 2023-2024 school year. This meeting will provide ongoing consultation with private school/homeschool representatives regarding PCSSD’s child find procedures and meaningful discussion regarding specialized instruction and service plans.
