On behalf of the faculty and staff at Sylvan Hills Junior High School, I am thrilled to welcome you to our school. As I embark on my ninth year as your principal, I remain humbled and excited to serve this exceptional community.

Our goal is to ensure that every student feels connected to our school, is supported academically and socially, and is prepared for a successful high school journey. In a few short years, these students will be graduating, and these transitional years are crucial in helping them adjust to high school and understand the importance of earning credits toward graduation requirements.

As your principal, I am committed to creating an environment where students can thrive. The dedicated faculty and staff at SHJHS are devoted to providing high-quality instruction in a nurturing setting that empowers students to reach their fullest potential. We aim to create a seamless bridge from middle school to high school, preparing our students to be college and career ready.

Throughout the year, I hope to work together to offer our students the best possible opportunities, equipping them to master future challenges with a strong foundation built here at Sylvan Hills Junior High. Remember, Graduation Starts Here!

Educationally yours,
Yvone West
